This is an original Second World War issued Purple Heart Medal. This is a mid to late war example without a rim serial number. It is unengraved. It has the period correct "sewn" brooch also referred to as a "slot" brooch. This award would be period correct for anyone awarded a medal during the Second World War or Korea.
